The following information is aimed at private households that use electrical and electronic equipment. Please observe the following information in the interests of environmentally friendly disposal of old devices and for your own safety.
1. Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and the meaning of the symbol in Annex 3 to the ElektroG:
Old devices must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. They must therefore be separated, especially from household waste. Owners should collect and dispose of waste equipment through local collection and return systems after removing used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by waste equipment. The latter does not apply if the old devices are separated according to § 12 paragraph 5 sentences 2 and 3 ElektroG by public waste management authorities in order to prepare them for reuse. The symbol according to Appendix 3 to the ElektroG represents a crossed-out wheeled bin and is shown (centre-right). This symbol indicates whether an old device is to be separated from unsorted municipal waste.
