With washing machines and dryers with an electric door opener, one has the problem that the door cannot be opened after the time has elapsed. You would have to throw extra money to put power back on the device. With the "TE" option you have a button on the coin machine. After pressing this button, electricity for opening the door is made available for a period of e.g. approx. 10 seconds.

If the coin devices for the showers are installed directly in the wet cells, safety extra-low voltage is often required. This means that the coin devices do not work with the normal mains voltage of 230 volts, but with 12 volts or 24 volts of low voltage. Then the solenoid valves must be designed for the same voltage.
